5 types of laptops for 5 types of people

Good news. According to a recent study, a large number of people still buy laptops. Despite the earlier fears that laptops would become obsolete as people fell head over heels in love with android and Apple tablets. Reasons for this are myriad and diverse, from practicalities such as the higher computing power and larger memory, to aesthetics; the good solid feel of a laptop keyboard beneath your fingers as opposed to the touchscreen of tablets, the laptop obviously isn’t going anywhere yet.
I have been in sales for a while now, and the customer’s favorite question, when looking to purchase a laptop is usually: ‘What type is good for me?’ this is a question however best answered by the customer. The criteria, should be function. Ask yourself, to what use do I want to put this laptop? I have sought to divide up laptop users into five based on use:
Gamers
So you want to buy a laptop and you love gaming? To get the optimum performance from a laptop for all your games, you need to buy a laptop with an excellent graphics card. You should note, that unlike the memory size and Operating system information, the type of graphics card installed may not be clearly displayed, so you could ask your dealer. Or you could go for the awesome but pricey MSI GT80 Titan SLI with its mechanical keyboard, it delivers speed and accuracy essential to an exciting gaming experience.

 Programmers
For the new and upcoming coder, who is in love with programming and developing applications and software, the choice of laptop is extremely important, you cannot just pick anyone. The most important feature you should look out for is the processor speed and type. A laptop with a corei7 processor is almost perfect. The Dell Alienware 18 with a corei7 and 4.4GHz processor speed is so fast, you would have to run to keep up.

Graphics designer
For the new graphic artist or illustrator on the block looking to purchase a new laptop, you will a need a combination of a great graphics card and an excellent processor. Combining this two features properly, you will dominate the graphics circle. Experts say the Lenovo Y50 is the ultimate in this regard, boasting an 860M graphics card from NVIDIA and a HDD screen, you would have the pixels on lockdown.

Hoarder
We all have that friend who is a hoarder of movies, songs, pictures and files. He/she never deletes. Or that DJ whose laptop is a music bank. While memory problems have been solved by the introduction of external memory devices, there is no harm, going for a laptop with a large memory. This particular feature can be easily spotted in the specifications. Look out for laptops with a RAM of at least 4gb.

Rough and tumble
I had a hard time finding the perfect subheading for this one. Under this category we have students, who are likely to lug laptops around and let them fall and others who use laptops in working conditions; construction sites, oil rigs and other extreme conditions. They need a durable laptop. A laptop that can take a hard fall and still stay strong and also one that is lightweight. They might need to ask their dealer for this specific features. Or you might look for either a laptop made Toshiba or buy the Dell XPS 13, razor-thin, ultra compact and or so durable.
