Bankrate reviewed various published reports and found that Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg remains atop the list of the richest individuals under 35.
With an estimated net worth bigger than the economies of many countries, he ranks 16th on the Forbes list of richest billionaires in the world.

How he made his billions: Another young'un gilded by Facebook's popularity, Moskovitz worked on the site in its early stages with Zuckerberg. He went on to co-found Asana, a maker of project-management software for businesses.

How she made her billions: Yang Huiyan's father, Yeung Kwok Keung, created the high-end Chinese real estate development company Country Garden Group. How he made his billions: Duncan inherited his money from his father, who started energy pipeline company Enterprise Products. One of 4 children, Duncan's fortune grew by $1 billion in the past year after the company's stock rose.

How he made his billions: Gebbia is the 3rd co-founder of Airbnb (with Blecharczyk and Chesky) and is the company's chief product officer. He and Chesky met while attending the Rhode Island School of Design. According to Forbes, Airbnb grew out of an air-mattress rental operation that the 2 launched in San Francisco during a time of peak demand for hotel rooms.
